On March 21-22 was held second annual international Formula SAE engineering projects forum in MADI.

Our team has taken an active part in the forum presenting reports and promo video as well.

According to the results of presentations several nominations with prizes from sponsors were organized. Despite the fact that our team is building its first car, we managed to win the «Best Video» nomination, and as a prize from the company Ween we got a racing helmet. Also representative of our team took first place in a karting friendly tournament among participants.

Following the conference, collection of articles is published, in which there is an article «Choosing powerplant for the race car», presented by us at the forum as presentation-report.

Our team is grateful for the perfectly organized MADI forum.

A lot of people don’t know, there are race cars which are designed and built in Russia, but our team had the opportunity to visit the company «ArtLine engineering» and to see for themselves the process of making these cars.

The ArtLine racing team team was established in 1998 and now is involved in many racing series, such as «Formula 1600», «Legends» and «Formula 3».

The company has been designing its own race cars for competing in «Formula 3» since 2005. In 2009 and 2010, the team took first place in the ATS Formel3 Cup (European Championship Formula 3) in the championship Trophy.

In addition to creating cars, «ArtLine» is also building race tracks, and in 2006 opened «Circuit ADM».

A conference dedicated motorsport in Russia was held in Bauman MSTU. This event was organized and carried out by the members of our team with help of organization Estiem.

The conference was attended by representatives of ArtLine Engineering company, which is developing cars and taking part in the racing series Formula 3, and the holding company «Composite», which is manufacturing carbon fiber and its products.

Besides, graduate of the University and the pilot of Formula 3 Alexey Karachev held a small speach.
